I’ve generally avoided Insomnia at 536 Bloor West (Bloor and Bathurst) as it seemed to be trendy and not especially interesting as far as food goes. It actually turned out to be a good little brunch experience. It was certainly trendy and stylish housing what I suppose you might call an “in crowd” clientèle. When it came down to it. Insomnia was comfortable, the wait time for a table wasn’t terrible and the the food was pretty enjoyable. Especially the home fries which were coated in a sauce which I’m not sure how to identify other than delicious. All in all Insomnia was a fine place to catch brunch especially when approached with one most important factors in brunch good company.
